About Lakeview

Lakeview is considered to be one of Chicago's most lively and accessible neighborhoods. There are four different distinct areas making up the neighborhood as a whole, Boystown, Wrigleyville, East Lakeview, and Central Lakeview. The area surrounding the home of the Cubs Wrigley Field is rich in bars, nightclubs, and restaurants, mostly catering to a younger crowd and die hard Cubs fans. The side streets in Lakeview area are mostly filled with vintage single family homes and apartment buildings as well as modern high rises. East Lakeview between Halsted and Lake Shore Drive offers a quieter vibe, nestled on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The lakefront is a great escape from the hustle and bustle with a winding walking/bike path. Public transportation is abundant in Lakeview with plenty of El and Bus route options to get you just about anywhere. | Eat: Art of Pizza, Tango Sur, Rockit Burger Bar, Spacca Napoli, Crosby's Kitchen, DMK, Wakamono | Drink: Slugger's (With Dueling Pianos), Sheffield's (Great beer selection), The Irish Oak | Play: Dog Beach at Belmont Harbor, Southport Lanes, About Face Theatre, Brew & View at the Vic Theatre, Music Box Theatre, Wrigley Field
